About the Department:

Rudraprayag has a special and important place in itself in Indian religious history and Sanatan dharma. It is a beautiful situated on the banks of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers,an important place from the point of view of religious and tourism. faculty of arts was established  year in  2017. A total of 6 subjects were started under the faculty of arts,in which history was also a subject.

Vision:
History is the study of the past in the light of the present. The purpose of history is show the path of human beings and make him aware of his glorious past and tradition. Through history ,we try to know better the journey of life from primitive man to present day human being. By this we can know how any discovery made by human at one place affected the human life of the whole world .

Mission:
As a student of history my aim is to instil my students a curiosity about history. Along with the historical knowledge , also to develop historical consciousness among the students .the  information aboutIndian civilization ,one of the ancient civilizations of the world , my objectives is to develop the sense of dedication towards our country, devotion to duty and the qualities of being a good citizen.
