About Government Degree College Rudraprayag

Established in 2006, Government Degree College Rudraprayag was founded to fulfil the growing aspirations of the people of the region for accessible and quality higher education. Located in the Himalayan district of Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, the college has steadily evolved into a multidisciplinary undergraduate institution serving the educational needs of students from the surrounding mountain communities.

The college is affiliated with Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand Vishwavidyalaya, Badshahithaul, Tehri Garhwal, and is committed to providing an inclusive, affordable and student-centred learning environment.

Over the years, the academic profile of the college has expanded significantly. The establishment and strengthening of the Faculty of Science added a new dimension to the institution’s academic and practical learning opportunities. The college has also developed a strong portfolio of professional and career-oriented programmes, including BCA, BBA, B.A. Tourism Management and B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, alongside undergraduate programmes in Arts and Science.

Today, Government Degree College Rudraprayag brings together Arts, Science and Professional Education through 15 academic departments. Its multidisciplinary environment provides students with opportunities to develop academic knowledge, practical skills, communication abilities, digital competence and problem-solving capabilities.
